Week 2 — Start Again, Without Shame
So you messed up.
So you lost your way.
So the plan didn’t work.
Maybe you procrastinated. Maybe you gave up. Maybe you made a decision that you wish you could take back.
Welcome to being human.
One of the hardest things we can learn is that starting again isn’t something to be ashamed of.
Sometimes starting again is an act of courage.
We put so much pressure on ourselves to get everything right the first time that we forget life doesn’t work that way.
You are going to have setbacks.
You are going to have days when you don’t recognise yourself.
You’re going to make mistakes.
But a mistake doesn’t have to become your identity.
Yesterday happened.
You cannot go back and rewrite it.
But you can wake up today and write something different.
Take the lesson.
Leave the shame.
Dust yourself off.
Take a breath.
Begin again.
And if you have to begin again tomorrow, do that too.
There is no shame in rebuilding yourself.
There is no shame in changing direction.
There is no shame in saying, “This isn’t working. Let me try again.”
Sometimes the strongest version of you is created after everything you thought you had figured out falls apart.
Monday reminder: A restart is still a start.
Begin again. And this time, give yourself the grace you deserved all along.
